Accelerating Campus-to-Corporate Readiness for Early-Career Talent
Designed a six-month workforce-readiness journey that strengthened communication, workplace confidence, and deployment readiness for 2,000 early-career hires.

A Leading Global IT Services and Consulting Organization
Industry: Information Technology and Consulting
Headquarters: India
Employees: 600,000+The client is a global technology-services and consulting organization with a large early-career hiring engine across India. As it recruited new hires from diverse academic and geographic backgrounds, the organization needed a scalable way to help employees transition confidently from campus environments into professional, client-facing roles.
-
A substantial number of new hires—particularly those joining from Tier 2 cities—needed greater support in professional communication, English-language articulation, workplace readiness, and corporate behavior.
These gaps could extend the time employees spent on the bench before they were ready to join active, billable projects. The client therefore needed a consistent, high-volume intervention that could assess communication capability, develop it through targeted learning, and measure progress over time.
The solution needed to help learners:
Build English-language proficiency and professional articulation aligned to CEFR standards.
Communicate clearly and confidently in workplace and project contexts.
Develop professional behavior, etiquette, and confidence in corporate settings.
Transition faster from training into active project roles.
Receive structured reinforcement and evidence of capability improvement across the six-month journey.

We at KNOLSKAPE designed a six-month campus-to-corporate workforce-readiness journey for more than new hires across multiple locations.
A core component of the program was a simulation- and course-based language-development journey aligned to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). CEFR uses progressive “can-do” descriptors across six proficiency levels—A1 through C2—to describe a learner’s practical language capability.[coe]
The learning journey integrated an assess–develop–reassess model:
Initial assessment: A simulation-based diagnostic evaluated learners’ English-language ability, articulation, and workplace communication against CEFR-aligned criteria.
Targeted development: Learners completed focused coursework and experiential practice to build the communication and articulation capabilities identified in their assessment.
Reassessment: Participants completed a follow-up simulation to measure progress, identify remaining gaps, and demonstrate increased readiness for professional interactions.
The wider program combined structured learning modules, workplace simulations, practice activities, and reinforcement mechanisms focused on:
English-language articulation and professional communication.
Workplace readiness and corporate etiquette.
Professional behavior and confidence in project environments.
Application of communication skills in realistic workplace situations.
Progressive development over the first six months of employment.

The program created a scalable model for strengthening communication capability and workplace readiness among early-career employees.
The six-month journey was delivered to new hires across multiple locations.
of employees on the bench moved into active project roles.
Learners received a structured method to assess, build, and reassess English-language articulation and workplace communication against CEFR-aligned proficiency expectations.
The client gained a repeatable onboarding model that linked learner development to deployment readiness.
Employees entered project environments with stronger confidence in communication, professional behavior, and workplace interactions.

As AVP Content Products, I led the end-to-end design of the workforce-readiness solution, with particular ownership of the CEFR-aligned language and articulation assessment-and-development journey.
My contribution included:
Partnering with the client’s L&D and business stakeholders to understand the factors affecting deployment readiness, including communication gaps, workplace behaviors, and the specific expectations for new hires entering project teams.
Designing the simulation and learning course used to assess, develop, and reassess English-language proficiency and articulation against CEFR-aligned standards.
Translating CEFR language descriptors into observable workplace behaviors and assessment criteria, including clarity of expression, ability to structure responses, confidence, and professional communication in realistic scenarios.
Creating the assessment logic and learner journey that connected diagnostic results to targeted learning interventions and a post-program reassessment.
Defining the broader six-month program architecture, learning objectives, progression structure, reinforcement strategy, and success measures across communication skills, workplace readiness, and professional behavior.
Working with internal technology and simulation teams to develop the assessment experience, validate scoring and learner feedback, and ensure that simulations reflected practical corporate communication contexts.
Collaborating with the design team to create engaging course assets, learner communications, and intuitive assessment interfaces suitable for a high-volume early-career audience.
Partnering with customer-success and delivery teams to coordinate multi-location rollout, cohort experience, learner support, feedback collection, and smooth program execution.
Reviewing learner feedback, reassessment outcomes, and deployment indicators with stakeholders to refine the solution and strengthen its impact over future cohorts.
